Rev. Jacob Harding, Pastor

Pastor Harding has been rooted in the Lutheran faith since his baptism on October 4th, 1998. Raised by his parents, Scott and Monica, in a home centered on the Gospel, Jacob grew up immersed in God’s Word and attended LCMS schools throughout his formative years—including Trinity Lutheran School in Edwardsville and Metro East Lutheran High School. His lifelong passion for faith and education led him to pursue a degree in Education at Concordia University Nebraska, where he also met his wife, Emily. After graduating, Jacob and Emily were married and began their journey together in ministry.

Following a year of teaching at a Lutheran school in Baltimore, Jacob felt called to pastoral ministry. He attended seminary, dedicating three of his four years to intensive study in Biblical languages, preaching, doctrine, and church history. His vicarage year was spent at Zion Lutheran in Linn, Kansas, under the mentorship of Pastor Timothy Koch, an experience that deeply enriched his calling.

Jacob was ordained on July 5th, 2026, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fenton, Missouri, surrounded by family and friends. He is now honored to serve the congregation at First Lutheran in Paola. Jacob and Emily are thrilled about this new chapter in their lives, trusting in God’s continued guidance and blessings.
